Ready for a fresh start?
The Alaska Department of Health can connect Alaskans living with diabetes with personalized education, nutrition and coaching support — no matter where they live or whether they have health insurance coverage.
Find an available program, no matter where you live

Alaska’s health department supports many great options. You can join a Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) program to lower blood sugar, manage diabetes, and make other healthy changes. These changes could include losing weight or staying at a healthy weight and taking medications if needed. Participants in online programs track progress and work with assigned coaches using a computer or a mobile app provided through the health department’s partnership with Health and Lifestyle Training (HALT).

The Alaska Department of Health is able to support hundreds of Alaskans to join online programs at no cost to them.
